World Veterinary Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in our faculty.

Our celebration, which started with a cortege march at AKÜ Ahmet Necdet Sezer Campus, continued with the laying of a wreath on the Atatürk bust in the AKÜ ceremony area. to celebrate; Our Faculty Dean V. Prof. Dr. Zeki Gürler, Deputy Dean Prof. Dr. Along with Musa Korkmaz, our academic staff and students attended.

After a moment of silence and the National Anthem, the opening speech of our Faculty Dean V. Prof. Dr. Zeki Gürler said that veterinary medicine is not just a profession related to animals. Stating that veterinary medicine is an integral part of a whole in the field of health together with human medicine, Gürler said, “Veterinary medicine is at least as important as human medicine. Because, in the name of preventive medicine, I think that we have an important preventive medicine duty in human medicine due to many zoonotic diseases, together with the animal friends we live with and the food we consume. For this reason, veterinarians represent an important circle not only in terms of animal health, treatment and breeding, but also in human medicine as preventive medicine.

Our program came to an end after a folk dance show, milk run, chicken rice, music concert and competitions.
