“World Veterinarians Day” celebration event was organised by our faculty.
Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Prof. Dr. Turan Civelek, Vice Deans Prof. Dr. Zeki Gürler and Dr. Lecturer Durmuş Fatih Başer, Chief Physician of Kocatepe Animal Hospital Prof. Dr. Musa Korkmaz, academic staff and students attended the event held in front of AKU Veterinary Health Practice and Research Centre (Kocatepe Animal Hospital). Making the opening speech of the event, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Prof. Dr. Turan Civelek said that veterinarians all over the world have life-saving work. Civelek stated that they preferred to celebrate “World Veterinary Doctors’ Day” especially in front of Kocatepe Animal Hospital and said, “Dozens of animals are saved every day in our Animal Hospital. This emphasises the importance of celebrating such a day here. We have the authority and responsibility to improve animal health and welfare in all areas of the profession. Our colleagues are in the field not only for animal health but also to protect and improve our health.”
