Dear colleagues, dear students;
During my seven-year tenure as Dean (2019-2026), I have had the privilege and honour of serving our state, our beloved Turkish nation, and our university within my area of expertise, and of advancing our institution to a much higher level than when I took office. Having carried out my duties as Dean of the AKÜ Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with integrity, doing more than our utmost and leaving behind a legacy of good work and achievements, I will be stepping down from this position as of 26 January 2026. On this occasion, I would like to once again thank our esteemed Rector, relevant politicians and bureaucrats, the local press, and the valuable people of Afyonkarahisar for their unwavering support to our Faculty during my term of office. I am grateful to my close colleagues, my dear friends who contributed to and stood by us during this process, my students, and my family for their patience and support. I wish my fellow students and the staff of our Faculty success and happiness in the future. It is our desire to preserve the gains, continue the investments, uphold the institutionalisation process that was strengthened during our term, and maintain an environment of peace.
