OUR MISSION
To train Veterinarians who are committed to the Republic of Turkey, the Principles and Reforms of Atatürk, and National and Spiritual values, who offer the knowledge and experience they have acquired within the framework of the education and training principles required by the age to the service of humanity, who have a solid cultural and moral structure, to train Veterinary Doctors who, in addition to their professional knowledge and skills, possess exemplary qualities with their high human attributes, and to conduct high-quality scientific studies at national and international levels while adhering to ethical principles, to produce qualified knowledge, to share the research results obtained on scientific platforms, to provide high-quality education at all levels, to be a pioneer in diagnosis, analysis, hospital and production activities and services, to deliver these services to the highest standards, and to maintain stakeholder satisfaction at the highest level are the primary missions of our faculty.
2026 TARGETS
Objective 1. To work towards obtaining accreditation for our Faculty from the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE) by the end of 2026 at the latest.
Objective 2. To achieve accreditation for our Faculty from the Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Veterinary Education Institutions and Programmes (VEDEK).
Objective 3. Strengthening the infrastructure of our Faculty’s Education, Research and Application Farm, activating the dairy unit, and undertaking efforts to establish a biotechnology institute, a beekeeping unit, a poultry unit and an equine unit.
Objective 4. To organise at least four ‘Professional Sharing Days’ each year with veterinary surgeons who have established careers in the profession.
Objective 5. To ensure that the Kocatepe Veterinary Journal is indexed in at least one additional index beyond those it is currently indexed in.
Objective 6. To ensure that at least two additional research assistant positions are allocated to our faculty.
Objective 7. To increase the product variety of the Dairy and Dairy Products Unit by at least one product.
Objective 8. To increase the number of national and international projects for our students and staff by 10%.
