Prof. Chaoqun Yao, Parasitology Specialist at Ross University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and Nevis, visited our Faculty within the scope of Erasmus KA171 programme.
The visit to our Faculty from the Caribbean was the academic visit to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from the farthest point so far, within the scope of bilateral exchange agreements. Prof. Yao, who visited our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Turan Civelek, stated that he saw that our Faculty has a strong infrastructure at the international level and expressed his pleasure to be in Turkey and Afyonkarahisar.
Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Volkan Yaprakcı and International Relations Coordinator Dr. Lecturer Sinan Erez were also present. Prof. Dr. Civelek stated that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is the academic unit with the highest number of international agreements in AKU. Prof. Dr. Civelek stated that within the framework of the approach put forward by AKU Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş, they have brought the number of international agreements to the top and added that AKU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is one of the faculties with the highest number of international bilateral agreements among the Veterinary Faculties in Turkey.
